While I wonāt post stuff on this blogs that I would not feel relevant, it is still my opinion and often those of others. Donāt accept these views just because I or anyone else mentions it or states it. Do, where possible, your own research and keep a clear and critical mind. In short: form your own opinion.
Some 2.500 years ago The Buddha (I am not very fond of Guruās and alike and I am not a Buddhist, although I myself find meaning in some Buddhist teachings as I will explain in another blog and I will quote the guy from time to time) said about the same:

Do not believe what you have heard
Do not believe in tradition because it is handed down many generations.
Do not believe in anything that has been spoken of many times.
Do not believe because the written statements come from some old sage.
Do not believe in conjecture.
Do not believe in authority or teachers or elders.
But after careful observation and analysis, when it agrees with reason and it will benefit one and all, then accept it and live by it
The Bhudda
So be your own self and stay critical.
Don't just accept it because someone else said it. Even if it was The Bhudda.
